If you have a simple question or comment related to data governance or management at ECU, please contact Enterprise Data Management Support Services (EDMSS) by completing the form below. 

If you need to report a data governance issue, please submit a service ticket to EDMSS by clicking here and choosing ‘Data Governance’ in the ‘Request type’ field of the form.

Data governance issues may include, but are not limited to, those related to data ownership, standardization, validity, reliability, access, and security. Once your ticket has been submitted, it will be evaluated and either resolved by EDMSS, forwarded to a data domain (or subject matter) expert, or brought before the Data Stewardship Committee (DSC).  The DSC is one of the primary committees involved in data governance and is charged with directing the university community on the effective management and appropriate use of institutional data.

The timeframe for ticket resolution depends on where the ticket is routed but every effort will be made to reach resolution as quickly as possible.
