Data Governance Captain

Nominate an individual who personifies a Data Governance Captain! A new Captain will be selected from the nominees each quarter. A nominee can only be Captain once a calendar year. If selected the nominee will receive treasure (ECU swag) and will be interviewed by an EDMSS team member and have that interview published in the Purview Insights newsletter.

Data Governance Captains include:

• Pirates who take the lead in Data Governance initiatives, ensuring the Data Governance ship stays on course.
• Pirates who chart the course for data management to ensure data integrity and compliance.
• Pirates that manage the distribution and access of data, ensuring each pirate gets the data they need.
• Pirates who keep an eye out for data breaches and potential risks, alerting the crew to any dangers.
• Pirates that facilitate discussions and negotiations around data policies and standards.
• Pirates that tackle data challenges head-on, finding innovative solutions to data problems.
