ECU Data Retreat 2023
In each of the last four years, an ECU Data Retreat has been held in the spring term. In general, the retreats have focused on data quality, and each retreat has been centered around a specific type of data. This year’s data retreat was broader in focus and open to any member of the university community wishing to attend. The overall theme of the retreat was Data Literacy with three virtual workshops scheduled over the course of three days in mid-March 2023.
The content of each workshop can be accessed via the links below. Access to these links requires ECU authentication:
- Tuesday, March 14: Data Literacy 101 (e.g., creating a culture of data literacy, data governance, and data ethics at ECU)
- Wednesday, March 15: Data Collection & Management (e.g., evaluating and ensuring quality of data and sources, types of information systems, data security, etc.)
- Thursday, March 16: Data Reporting & Presentation
