- What is the process to award financial aid and what is the timing of when it is reflected on the student record?
- How/when are residency and final high school transcript date updates made?
- How is Banner Security assigned? Who gets access to what? (Financial Aid permissions)
- What is the process for Financial Aid feeds to the Student Data Mart (UNC System) and how are cashier’s office data integrated into those feeds?
- Who has, or should have, access to correct Student Data Mart errors? What is the process for error notification?
- What might account for inconsistency of data over time?
- How are scholarships tracked?
- How are deposit data recorded and used?
- What is the origin of the ONLN student attribute? How is it used by units across campus? How does the FA office determine which students are in online programs (for the purpose of determining budget)?
- What Financial Aid reports/requests could be automated?

- A common understanding of terms, concepts, and processes relevant to Financial Aid, especially the interconnectedness of, and interaction among, units; Who is responsible for what and how can processes be improved?
- Improved familiarity with Banner/ODS security access, especially to Financial Aid data
- A better understanding of how data is reported to the system office, especially Financial Aid data
- Retreat attendee questions answered to their satisfaction re data and analyses
- Documentation of the history and current use of the ONLN attribute
- A decision on whether it is possible to do some automating of Financial Aid data and, if possible, next steps
